Little Dessert Shop | Review

I can't think of anyone who doesn't like some form of dessert, be it ice cream, cake, chocolate, pancakes etc. So when I got the chance to visit the Little Dessert Shop for a baby shower, quite naturally, I couldn't wait. There's so many choices with waffles, crepes, cookie dough, sundaes, cakes being just a few of them. I had a look at the menu before hand which you can find here, so I had a very good idea of what I wanted to order before I went.

I'm a big lover of cookie dough (only at the weekend of course, trying to be healthy) and the pictures in the menu looked so tempting that I just had to, had to, HAD TO have it. It just looks like it will taste amazing and I wasn't disappointed with the double milk chocolate topped with gooey chocolate sauce. Accompany that with a side of fresh cream and vanilla ice cream and you have a slice, or more suiting bake of heaven right there, on a lovely slab of slate dusted in icing sugar. The 'Little Dessert Shop' wafer sitting in the ice cream is a lovely branded touch which is added to most of the desserts.

Just to go all out and inevitably give myself the biggest sugar overload, I couldn't resist trying out one of their milkshakes which are made using the chocolate bar of your choice. I went for the milky way option and wasn't disappointed at all with the creamy, chocolaty taste, the only disappointment was only managing to drink half of it due to my stated sugar overdose. I'd recommend it best not to follow my dreary example and order two very sweet options if you want to finish them!

While waiting to order, I was amazed by the never ending choice of flavours of ice cream on offer and loved how colourful they all were. Of course I had to take photos.

I'll have mango, fruit salad, millionaires, jammie dodgers, raspberry ripple. curly wurly....

There's so many ice cream flavours I wanted to try, they should possibly offer a service where you can try a half/full scoop of several of them. Maybe they already do this and I just didn't notice from being so consumed staring at the ice cream, but if not that would be a sure selling point with me. Oh and add to the reasons I'm sitting here wanting to go back like right this second.
